HiBai or LoBai? Many Residents Say We Are Just Bailey...

On January 20, 2025 the Platte Canyon Chamber has launched the re-labeling of Bailey "HiBai & LoBai One Bailey Rising Together".

The campaign has created two labels for Bailey creating two distinct areas these will new be called LoBai - "designates the lower-elevation downtown area." and HiBai - "refers to the higher-elevation area near County Road 43." The Chamber would like to "help residents and visitors easily identify different parts of Bailey, improving navigation and communication for local businesses and organizations."

Recently Park County was awarded a grant from CDOT for "Rebuilding Bailey". It will be interesting to see if the Platte Canyon Chamber will be able to utilize some of these taxpayer funds to pay for the new signage to re-label Bailey.

This campaign was recently launched on social media. The launch has been met with mostly negative comments.
